Travis Longfellow seen sitting in the passenger seat of a large support vehicle as the team prepares for the Impossible Route: Death Valley

Travis Longfellow had one of the least glamorous, but most important jobs in terms of supporting the riders during the Impossible Route: Death Valley expedition. From filling bottles, to wrenching on bikes late into the night, and driving a Sprinter van all day by himself, Travis did it all.

Travis is one of California's top U-23 riders. He comes from a background in triathlon and has his sights set on the US National Time Trial Championship and a future debut as a rider an Impossible Routes expedition.

Travis works as a bicycle mechanic to make sure the team is well prepared for the adventure. In this photo the evening sun shines through the bicycle wheel spokes.
